Recently, someone I look up to told me that the best way to improve your modeling/rendering skills is to look for objects around you and practice by modeling them.
With winter break starting, I have decided to take some time and improve/hone my 3D modeling/rendering skills by tasking myself with modeling at least one thing every day. For the rest of the break, every Friday, I will show off what work I have done that week.
This week's Models:
D-O (from Star Wars), Lightsaber, Computer Microphone, Flash Drive, Magnetic Level, Water Bottle, Hanging Wall Shelf, Side Table/Lamp Fixture, Four Different Side Tables, Lamp, Dog Toy, and a Coffee Table, Wall Shelf, Skateboard, Wooden Duck Pull Toy, Toy Truck
I already feel even more comfortable in Rhino and Keyshot and feel myself getting faster along with learning a few new things all in the first week. These were all modeled in Rhino and rendered in Keyshot.
(All models are existing products or heavily inspired by existing products)
